⚖️ The Factual Record
Yosi Taguri is a well-known social media personality, a successful Haifa pizzaiolo restaurateur, and a man of money and influence. Recently, he chose to weaponize his public platform for an improper purpose: running a public kangaroo trial.
Yosi decided to broadcast CCTV footage of an unidentified person who may have tampered with a camera in his building (a camera that itself may have been installed unlawfully). In doing so, he trampled the photographed individual's privacy, in clear breach of the Israeli law governing CCTV use in private residences and common areas.
Security cameras exist for lawful recording and handover to the Israel Police if needed, not as a tool for shaming in the digital town square. Taguri's chosen method is, for lack of a better word, vigilante. He simply took the law into his own hands.
As expected from an online lynch mob, replies poured in fast. Some were degrading, with crude slurs ("b*", "p**") and outright defamation, accusing the photographed person of planning a burglary without a shred of evidence. Yosi? He elegantly ignored the filth piling up under his post and refused to remove it.
And not only that: To this moment, Yosi flatly refuses to remove the degrading post. He sees no fault in his conduct, refuses to acknowledge the harm he is causing, and keeps the post live to feed the shaming cycle, all while threatening lawsuits against anyone who dares to criticize him.
Exhibit A: The Original Tweet and the Wave of Filth

The tweet is still live. The replies are still live. Sample of what flowed underneath.

Looks a bit like: L**** S., **-year-old B** Y** resident. Photo from 2017 - s** o******.
⚠ Serious defamation: attributing a first name and a sex offense to a stranger, with zero evidence. (Text redacted - identifying name and criminal accusation censored.)

Look for him in stores that sell or install security cameras.
⚠ Further incitement to track.

I recommend posting it in the Ramat Aviv Gimel Facebook group too. Both to engage local residents, and so a neighbor who recognizes him or has seen something relevant can come forward.
⚠ Suggestion to leak the photo to other circles - Yosi does not care.

🎭 The Hypocrisy and the SLAPP Threat
The story took a sharp turn when an anonymous user (under a pseudonym) decided to expose Yosi's hypocrisy. They posted a critique in the local Facebook group "Ramat Aviv Gimel Shelanu", pointing out that Yosi's own behavior is itself harassing and harmful.
Rather than engage with legitimate criticism, Yosi answered the post with a heavy-handed ultimatum: "You have exactly one hour to remove this libel." This is a textbook SLAPP move, designed to intimidate and steamroll ordinary citizens who dare to criticize.
The threat worked. Within less than 10 minutes of the public threat, the post was removed by the group admins, who were presumably spooked by a similar threat aimed at them.
Yosi's message is clear: when you are rich and powerful, nothing may be said about you, true or false, even when backed by a lawful screenshot of a public tweet already seen by 50,000 people. In his view, the right to privacy and reputation belongs to him alone.
Exhibit B: The Facebook Hypocrisy - Thin-Skinned Yosi
One day after Yosi ran a public lynch on X, an anonymous citizen opened a short post in the neighborhood group "Ramat Aviv Gimel Shelanu" describing Yosi's behavior as harassment. Within minutes, Yosi himself replied - with an explicit legal threat.
Watch out for Yosi Taguri who lives in the neighborhood. He films people with a camera mounted toward the street (in a public area, accessible to every passerby) and posts them on his social media. This is a dangerous harasser.
Mystery: we installed cameras in the building. This guy showed up out of nowhere and sabotaged them. Help me find him.

You have exactly one hour to remove this libel.
🔥 Textbook SLAPP threat. Arbitrary deadline. Ticking clock.

Let's make a deal - you delete the privacy violation you published, I will delete my legitimate criticism. Imagine I had your portrait and published it on my profile. The blood would have been on fire... So the vandalism, even if he broke one law, does not give you the right to take the law into your hands and publish these security camera images. Mutual delete, you publish a clarification that it was a good-faith mistake, and it ends here. The next stage will be a lot less pleasant for you.
🛡 Fair offer. Both sides delete. Yosi chose to escalate instead.

And to be clear - I know that what I wrote is itself a legitimate opinion. You are behaving as a harasser. You have the right to wish that no judgment be made about your conduct - that is dangerous. Your chances in court are nil. Sue away.
⚠ The group admins caved to the pizza-loving bully's threats and deleted the post.
🛡 Warning - the criticism is a protected opinion. SLAPP will not hold in court.
- 0:00 The critical post is published in the closed group.
- ~10 min Yosi Taguri himself shows up and threatens: "You have exactly one hour to remove."
- ~18 min The group admins caved to the pizza-loving bully's threats and deleted the post.
The absurd gap: Yosi kept replies on X calling a stranger "b*****" and "s** o******", but when someone described him as a harasser, the same Yosi threatened a lawsuit within minutes. The right to privacy and a good name, in his view, is a personal visa issued only to him.
This Site is a Mirror
A mirror for an online bully who knows no boundary, who does not understand the law, and who thinks brute force lets him break the law and silence valid criticism of those same offenses.
Time to stand up to the bullying.
⚖️ Legal Tools and Action
Both the photographed individual and the general public have tools to deal with this kind of behavior. Below are ready-to-use drafts (for illustration only) of the legal steps that can and should be taken in cases of online bullying and privacy violations.
Civil Claim
A draft claim ready for use by the photographed individual, for defamation, privacy violation, and unlawful camera placement.
IN THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT IN TEL AVIV - YAFO
Claim amount: ILS 35,000 (small claims ceiling)
Nature of claim: Tort, unjust enrichment, Defamation Prohibition Law, Privacy Protection Law.
Grounds of the claim:
- The defendant ran a public smear campaign, publishing the plaintiff's face on social media for tens of thousands of viewers.
- The defendant attributed criminal offenses of "sabotage" to the plaintiff and encouraged defamatory replies (such as accusations of attempted burglary), without any legal process or proof.
- Camera legality: Moreover, there is reasonable suspicion that the camera that produced the footage was installed in the common area unlawfully and without the consent of all residents. As the saying goes, "where there is smoke, there is fire." The plaintiff's action (if any occurred) may have been a legitimate protest against an invasion of privacy by an unauthorized camera.
- The defendant acted forcefully, refused to remove the post, and even threatened anyone who criticized his conduct.
Therefore, the honorable court is requested to award total damages in the sum of ILS 35,000, within the jurisdiction of the small claims court, plus costs.
Complaint to the Israel Police
A complaint template intended for any citizen who feels public-space fundamental rights were violated by the spread of these images, and who wishes to report the offense.
Online Report / Complaint - Israel Police
Subject: Complaint regarding privacy violation in the virtual realm and incitement to shaming.
Suspect details: Yosi Taguri.
Description of the incident:
I am contacting you as a concerned citizen. On [publication date] the suspect published, on his X (Twitter) account, CCTV images of a person unknown to me, while appealing to the public to "help him find him", thus taking the law into his own hands.
This act ostensibly constitutes a criminal offense under section 2(4) of the Privacy Protection Law ("publication of a person's photograph in public under circumstances where the publication may humiliate or degrade them"). The suspect uses his online power to conduct a public kangaroo trial, encourages violent replies, and refuses to remove the offending content.
In addition, I ask the police to verify whether the security cameras in the Ramat Aviv Gimel building were lawfully installed, or whether they constitute unlawful surveillance and a violation of the privacy of residents and passersby.
For your prompt handling before the virtual lynching escalates.

Open letter
Yosi, this one is personal. Read it.
If you are reading this site, congrats. You managed to turn yourself into the headline. Let me sum it up for you, because judging by how you behaved with us and others, nobody has yet explained how this works.
- 1 No, you do not know who wrote this site. You will not find out. Even a court will not necessarily help you - there is no underlying tort here to trigger the disclosure process.
- 2 Even if you did find out, you have no cause of action. Every fact here is based on YOUR public post, on YOUR own account, in front of 47,900 viewers. A screenshot of a public tweet is not defamation. It is evidence.
- 3 Criticism of your conduct is protected opinion under section 15 of the Israeli Defamation Prohibition Law - opinion on conduct of someone who has publicly entered the arena, based on documented facts, with fair commentary. Criticism of what you did, not of who you are.
- 4 The slurs YOU let stand under your tweet (all censored on this site) are exactly what is legally actionable. Not me. You, and the repliers you left online up to this minute.
- 5 You took a building security camera and turned it into a public manhunt tool. I took your public tweet, snapshotted your hypocrisy on Facebook, and made one critical page out of it. The gap between what I did and what you did is the gap between lawful criticism and a criminal offense.
- 6 I took care. You did not. I am smarter about caring. That is not a compliment to your general intelligence, just a record of what was and what is.
You think of yourself as enlightened, rich, powerful, smart. In practice you are a regular bully with a big X account and a good pizzeria. Neither of those grants you the right to break the law, and neither grants you the right to silence anyone who points it out.
This site was not written to harm you. It was written so that you stop harming others. That distinction is the whole story. Take down the tweet. Post a clarification. Go back to baking pizza. Buon appetito.
⚖️ The law that applies exactly to this issue ↗Sincerely, anyone who will hold the truth in your face.
